Priorities

As Chair of the Transportation Appropriations Subcommittee in the House, Donni has led efforts to fix Michigan’s roads—from driveway to highway—without raising taxes. Her work on her committees—Appropriations, LARA, Public Health, and Capital Outlay—has been guided by one goal: delivering results for Michigan families.

Michigan faces multiple challenges: security and public safety, accountability, transparency, maintaining fiscal responsibility, and education. Donni proposes revitalizing the economy by supporting small business growth through reduced regulation and fostering competitive environments.

Job retention and attracting talent remain priorities, along with addressing inflation and reevaluating energy policies to promote Michigan’s economic interests. Donni strongly opposes defunding law enforcement and supports their crucial role in protecting public safety. She believes education transparency is vital, with funds directed toward classroom learning and student support. She also advocates robust support for veterans and seniors, opposing unfair pension taxation and ensuring comprehensive care and benefits.

Donni’s goal is to rejuvenate Michigan’s economy, retain its population, and enhance citizens’ well-being in the Senate.
